Sesame Burgers & Beer Review!

Recently checked out Sesame Burgers & Beer in Mt. Pleasant.  This is the newest and 3rd Sesame to open in the Charleston area over the last 5 years.  The first was in Park Circle in North Charleston.  Then they opened up at the Citadel Mall in West Ashley.  With business obviously doing well, they opened up the Mt. Pleasant location earlier this year.

If your going to Sesame, then you are probably going for the burgers.  If you are cheap like me, then you may want to consider going on a Tuesday.  On Tuesdays, starting at 4pm, burgers start at $3.  Each topping you put on, adds to the cost.  For instance, I ordered the Park Circle Burger, which has coleslaw, BBQ Sauce, Cheddar, and tomato.  My burger ended up costing $4.90.  Other guests I was with, built their own burger, and paid under $4 for their creations.  All in all, I thought the burger was an 8 out of 10.

On to the beer!  They had a highly respectable 20 beers on draft!  Some of the highlights were: Coast 32/50 Kolsch, Dogfish Head 90 Minute, Westbrook Single Hop Amarillo Rye Pale Ale, Holy City Porter, Palm, Southern Tier Hop Sun, Victory Summer Love, Allagash White, and Carolina Flagship IPA.  Prices ranged from $4.50 to $6.00.  They also had a good selection of bottles/cans, although I usually go with a draft selection.

So for craft beer lovers, Sesame is definitely a good restaurant where you can get a good burger, while being able to sip on a quality craft beer!  And if you're cheap like me, Tuesday night is definitely the night to go.

Cheers!
