Tastings:
Holy City Brewing: Monday and Tuesday 4pm-6pm, Wednesday-Friday 4pm-7pm, and Saturday from 12-4pm.
Coast Brewing: Thursday from 4pm-7pm and Saturday from 11am-2pm.
Westbrook Brewing: Thursday and Friday from 4pm-7pm and Saturday from 12pm-4pm.
Total Wine & More: Every Thursday from 3pm-7pm. Sample up to eight craft beers for free.
Bottles: Tap Takeovers every Thursday from 4:30pm-7:30pm.
July 24th
The Charleston Beer Exchange will have a free tasting of their collaboration beer with Westbrook Brewing. The beer is called Citrus Ninja Exchange, and is the newly released version. The free tasting is from 5-6pm. Bottles and growler fills of this highly anticipated beer will be available while they last!
July 26th
Bottles will feature Brooklyn Brewery for it's Tap Takeover. Beers for tasting will be: Summer Ale, Pennant Ale, Brown Ale, Mary's Maple Porter, Gold Standard, Local 1, and Sorachi Ace. Starts at 4:30pm.
July 26th and July 27th
The Coastal Cupboard in Mt. Pleasant will have a special classed called "Beer Revolution," which will showcase the Spiegelau beer glassware with a variety of special beers. All participants will get a set of four Spiegalau glasses. Call 843-856-4321 for reservations. Event starts at 7pm and cost is $50.
August 1st
Laura Alberts will feature Williamsburg AleWerks for their weekly Growler Hour. Beers on tap will be: Drake Tail IPA, Wheat Ale, White Ale, and Chesapeake Pale Ale. Special appetizer by Executive Chef Matt Brigham will be paired with a Williamsburg brew. Free growler jug with purchase of a fill. Dollar off draft beer
August 1st
The Liberty Tap Room & Grill will have a 5 Course Samuel Adams Beer Dinner. Cost is $45 a person. Beers served will be Griffin's Bow, Cherry Wheat, Tasman Red, Dark Depths, and Cinder Bock. See full pairing menu here. Call 971-7777 for reservations. Starts at 6:30pm.
August 16th
Total Wine & More will have a beer class called "Great Craft Brews for Game Day & Every Day." Here is class description: "A tasty, educational exploration of easy drinking craft beers. Learn and taste how hops, malt, and yeast influence the flavor. Surprise yourself…and stay in the game with beers that are a maximum 6% Alcohol by Volume (ABV). Easy drinking doesn’t mean great flavor is left out of the bottle." Cost is $10 a person and class is from 6:30-8:30pm. Call 843-763-7034 for reservations.
August 18th
The Charleston Pub Crawl will start at 1pm and end at 9pm. Check in is at Marion's on East Bay Street. Tickets are $25 in advance and $35 day of, which gets you two complimentary Sweetwater draft beers, $2 Sweetwater draft beers at all Pub Crawl venues, $3 Red Bull and vodkas, Pub Crawl t-shirt, live music, discount to the Ballpark Festival of Beers, swag from Sweetwater and other sponsors. Participating venues are TBonz, Pearlz, Mellow Mushroom, The Brick, Wasabi, Yo Burrito, and Southend Brewery & Smokehouse. Get your ticket here.
August 25th
The Ballpark Festival of Beers will be held from 6-10pm. "Sample over 100 American & International Ales, Stouts, Lagers, Pilsners & Specialty Brews!" Cost is $25 at any Piggly Wiggly or $30 at RileyParkEvents.com or the Riverdogs Box Office.
