June 26th-Craft Beer Events Calendar!




Craft Beer Events 

Tastings:
Holy City Brewing: Monday and Tuesday 4pm-6pm, Wednesday-Friday 4pm-7pm, and Saturday from 12-4pm.  
Coast Brewing: Thursday from 4pm-7pm and Saturday from 11am-2pm.
Westbrook Brewing: Thursday and Friday from 4pm-7pm and Saturday from 12pm-4pm.
Total Wine & More: Every Thursday from 3pm-7pm.  Sample up to eight craft beers for free.
Bottles: Tap Takeovers every Thursday from 4:30pm-7:30pm.  

June 27th
Laura Alberts will host Founders Brewing for their Growler Hour, starting at 5pm. Beers on tap will include Founders Red Rye PA, Centennial IPA, Dry Hopped Pale Ale, and Dirty Bastard Scottish Ale.  Drafts are a dollar off and free growler mug with purchase of a fill.  

June 28th
Bottles will have a Samuel Adams Tap Takeover starting from 4:30pm-7:30pm. 

June 29th
The 1st Craft beer Boat Cruise will be held Friday from 7-9pm.  "A monthly sunset cruise sponsored by Lee Distributors, the Bridge at 105.5, Charleston Harbor Tours, and the City Paper. Featuring a different craft brewery every month with discounted vessels of beer on the riverboat-style Carolina Queen. This week's kick-off event features ales and lagers from local microbrewery Holy City Brewing, live roots-rock from local band Gaslight Street, and a Cajun-style menu from Muffaletta's (beer brats, barbecue, Charleston-style muffulettas, and side) for purchase. Boarding begins at 6:30 p.m." Cost is $20.  Get your tickets here.

June 30th
The House of Brews will celebrate there One Year Anniversary by having a kick @$$ party! Taken from their Facebook:  "Saturday, June 30th at 2pm, we will have our new 8-tap system up and running, featuring some rare kegs old and new, New Belgium will have a 3 keg jockey box out back with a couple Lips of Faith offerings in the mix, and we will be sampling out the 1st official HoB homebrew (collaboration with Eric Doksa and Josh Denney)! Add live tunes from 17 South Bluegrass, some of the best BBQ you’ll ever eat provided by Farm on Fire, and homemade popsicles from The King of Pops, this one has “Epic” written all over it. Carpooling is strongly encouraged as parking will be limited, event starts at 2pm so let’s make a day of it and celebrate all of you who have made this place such an honor and privilege to operate!" 

July 3rd
Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer will be having there Beer School, Session Three! If you missed the first two, don't worry!!  They can be taken independently.  Session Three is called "Wines of the Beer World: A Wine Drinker's Guide to Beer Enlightenment.   Brandon Plyler from Charleston Beer Exchange will be teaching all beer students out in the fantastic courtyard at Kudu.  Class starts at 7pm and will end at 9pm.  Don't be tardy!  Cost is $25!  Price includes all beer samples.  You must sign up ahead of time at the Charleston Beer Exchange or by calling (843) 577-5446.  

July 6th 
House of Brews will have a Bell's Brewery Night, and be offering ups some tasty Bell's beer.  Starts at 4pm!

July 10th
Beer School: Session 4 will take place at Kudu Coffee and Craft Beer.  Session 4:  American Innovations: Changing What the Word "Domestic" Means and Influencing the World will be taught by Brandon Plyler from the Charleston Beer Exchange, in the outdoor courtyard at Kudu.  Cost is $25 and class is from 7:00pm-9:00pm.  You must sign up at the Charleston Beer Exchange in advance or by calling them at (843) 577-5446. 

July 18th
Sesame Burgers and Beer will team up with Stone Brewing for a 5 Course Beer Dinner.  The event is $50 a person and starts at 6pm.  Event is limited to 30 seats.  Call (843) 884-5553 for tickets.  Check out the menu:

July 20th
Roadtrip Anyone? Brews-A-Palooza will be held in Myrtle Beach on The Deck at The House of Blues from 7pm-11:30m.  Over 50 craft beers will be available.  Happy Hour specials all night.  Live music.  $5 Admission, includes the tasting glass and a free buffet from 5pm-6pm.  Tickets for beer tastings will be $1 each, with different beers costing different number of tickets.   Beer lineup will include: Founders Devil Dancer, Founders Frangelic Mountain Brown, New Belgium La Folie, Terrapin Easy Rider, He'Brew Funky Jewbilation, and Jolly Pumpkin La Roja.

July 21st
Holy City Brewing turns 1 year old!  To celebrate they will have a much bigger version of their Carnival Night, from 4pm-10pm.  Taken from their Facebook: "Live music from Rustic Remedy and The Bluestone Ramblers.  Food from Hello My Name is BBQ, Autobahn, Brasili, and HoM.  Sweets from Sweeteeth Chocolate and King of Pops. Entertainment from Carivalesque. Games including a keg toss, grain sack races, and ring toss. $3 pints of HCB beers outside and tasting room open inside with all the first beers we brewed when we opened on tap! Kid and pet friendly! More info and details to be added!"
