Upcoming Craft Beer Events

August 15th
Oak Steakhouse will host an amazing beer dinner with Brian Ewing from 12% Imports, Brian Strumke of Stillwater Artisan Ales and Jeppe Jarnit-Bjergso of Evil Twin Brewing.  "Chef Jeremiah Bacon has crafted an amazing 8 course, 9 beer extravaganza in an intimate and elegant setting."  Reservations will be extremely limited.  The cost is $125 per person, plus gratuity.  Call Oak Steakhouse for reservations (843) 722-4220.

August 15th
Head to Closed For Business for a collaboration dinner featuring a four-course meal and delicious beer pairings.

For the upcoming dinner, Will Fincher of Closed For Business and Josh Keeler of Two Boroughs Larder will be collaborating in the kitchen.  Paired with each course will be a beer from Allagash and a beer from New Belgium.  Here are the brews:

August 18th
Laura Alberts will host Asheville's own French Broad Brewery.  This will  be a 4 Course Beer Dinner.  Starts at 7pm (Reception begins).  Price is $45 plus tax/gratuity.  Reservations only by calling (843) 881-4711.

Pastrami Wrapped Jumbo Prawn With Butter Poached Cabbage & Watercress Salad Garnished with Ciabatta Shards & Molasses Paint paired with the Rye Hopper Ale

Frissee & Mustard Green Salad With Poached Egg, Bacon Lardons, Sweet Onion Relish, Grape Tomatoes Topped with Herb White Balsamic Vinaigrette paired with 13 Rebels ESB (Extra Special Bitter)

September 2nd-4th
4th Annual Savannah Craft Brew Fest.  This is a three day festival devoted to the craft brew enthusiast.  Get your tickets here.

September 5th-10th
Seafood Jazz & Brew Festival on Hilton Head Island.  More info to follow.

September 24th
The Ballpark Festival of Beers will take place at Joseph P. Riley, Jr.  Park (home of the Riverdogs) in downtown Charleston.  Over 100 different varieties of brew will be available to quench the taste buds of every die-hard beer enthusiast.  This is a 21 and over event.  Advanced tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the River Dogs box office or on online here.  Price is $30 the day of the event.   Time of the event is 7-10pm.  Early birds will be rewarded, as the first 1,000 people through the gates receive a commemorative sampling glass. 
  
October 7th and 8th
Oktoberfest at Gene's Haufbrau.  Stay tuned for more details.

October 8th
Charlotte Oktoberfest at the Metrolina Expo in Charlotte, NC.  Tickets are $35 for general admission and $50 for premium admission.  Current list of breweries attending here.

January 27th (2012)
World Beer Festival in Columbia.  More info to follow.
