September 29th- Craft Beer Events Calendar!

Upcoming Craft Beer Events

September 29th
From 5pm to 7pm, The Charleston Beer Exchange will be hosting a free tasting and launch party for both Palmetto Brewing’s brand new beer "Aftershock" and a new book, both of which pay homage to Charleston’s great earthquake of 1886, the largest to ever hit the east coast of the U.S.  To commemorate the 125th anniversary of the earthquake, authors Susan Millar Williams and Stephen G. Hoffius have released a fantastic new book called "Upheaval in Charleston: Earthquake and Murder on the Eve of Jim Crow." They will sign copies of the book which will be available on site.  It is also the official launch date of a brand new double IPA made in collaboration between The Beer Exchange and Westbrook Brewing Co.   The beer called, Citrus Ninja Exchange, is the first of two collaboration beers brewed in summer 2011.  It’s a single-hopped Cascade double IPA brewed with approximately 50 lbs of fresh grapefruit, and then dry-hopped 4 times in the fermentor.  Get it while it lasts!
