American Craft Beer Week (5/16 - 5/22)

American Craft Beer Week is May 16th to May 22nd.   I will continue to search out places where you can celebrate this most gracious and libatious week long holiday.  Keep checking back for updates.

May 19th
Laura Alberts will be hosting a food and Craft Beer pairing with the folks of Sweetwater Brewing.  This will feature a uber-special CASK conditioned beer called Sippin' On Sunshine, a one-off of Sweetwater IPA, that's been soaking in Cascade and Amarillo hops and orange peel.  This will be available as a bottomless option at the dinner.  Food will be paired with the following Sweetwater brews: Dank Tank, Mean Joe Bean, IPA, Road Trip and Happy Ending. This event starts at 7:00pm and the cost is $45 plus tax and gratuity

May 19th-May 21st
Westbrook Brewing will be celebrating American Craft Beer Week by tapping 3 casks.  Thursday's cask is their IPA dry-hopped in the cask with Falconer's Flight, a new, super citrusy hop blend.  On friday, they'll have a Belgian Pale cask dry-hopped with Kent Golding and white and black peppercorns.  Saturday they will tap another IPA cask with 3 different hop varieties- Centennail, Cascade, and Amarillo.

May 21st
Coast Brewing will be tapping one of my all time favorites (Boy King Double IPA) as well as selling Old Nuptial Barleywine in 22oz bottles in celebration of American Craft Beer Week.  There will be local food trucks, a band and tours of the brewery.   The event will be from 11am-3pm.

May 21st
Top of the hops Beer Festival for those who want to take a road trip to celebrate American Craft Beer Week.    This event will be held in Greenville, SC.  Tickets are $35 for reg admission and $60 for VIP.  Unlimited tastings and seems to be some high quality breweries attending.   If anyone attends, please report back how it was.

Will be hosting $4 Pint Nights all week long.

Tuesday, May 17th- Abita Brewery.  They will be pouring Purple Haze, BrewMasters Select Triple Haze, Restoration Pale and Turbodog

Wednesday,  May 18th- Highland Brewing Company. They will be pouring Cattail Peak Wheat, Gaelic Ale, and Oatmeal Porter

Thursday, May 19th-  Brooklyn Brewery.  They will be pouring their Lager, Summer Ale, and Brown Ale
